DESCRIPTION: The 14 images are photographic sculptures arranged in a circular pattern in the space, resulting from different modulations of only two initial photographs, one taken in Istanbul and one in Venice. The first gave rise to the second, and the second is the reflection of the first. Each image is composed of four layers: two photographic prints on transparent acetate, one sheet of oiled paper, and one sheet of white paper. Layered on top of one another, the four layers are fixed together with thin, spaced nails, creating a three-dimensional image generated by transparencies and projected shadows. The floor of the space, covered with thin sheets of aluminum foil joined to cover the entire walkable surface, is the spectator's field of action. It connects and separates the distances between one image and another, amplifying individual details while nullifying subjective differences. It is up to the spectator to find meaning, a logic through muscular memory.
