DESCRIPTION: Psychaedi is a fictional character. In a new world, a post human creature has transformed his body and instincts to survive machine supremacy. Psychaedi need to re-generate themselves by a deep interaction with nature. Nature reasserts itself in a constant exchange between bodies where the human animal become equal to all the other animated and in animated beings in nature. Taking after the Asian hornet’s ways of construction, the cocoons present specifc bionic models of structural development in space. Accessible and human-scale, the cocoon is constructed out of recycled paper and environmental materials: local soil, dust, small plants.
The installation is completed by a display case containing the original artefact of an Asian hornet hive and a Wikipedia page (strictly fake) as a pop instrument of pseudo-scientific attestation of the Psychaedi as a species.
